The Problem of HIV/Aids in Nepal

HIV and Aids is the most dangerous disease all over the world in these days. And yes Nepal is also highly affected country of the south Asia. Recently news of a Dhaulagiri Zone, one of the west part of Nepal; is published in Kantipur National Daily.

Two hundred eighty (280) HIV positives are there in this area. And only seventy of them have exposed as affected person. Other affected 20 are already died (Tuesday, 23rd September, 2008). This is just an example of one Zone, Nepal's other areas are also highly affected by this disease. This is increasing day by day due to the lack of enough awareness programs.

Nepali HIV positive doesn't expose them due to the various reasons. They afraid of the community and relatives, if they come to know then will be excommunicated from the community and will be tragically misbehaved. Global Fund has closed it's funding to Nepal which used to give for the HIV awareness program. They claim that the fund was not used properly, so they won't fund any more.

Now, it's more challenging; in one hand, the fund is not being used properly, in other hand, the fund is being deducted. What will be the future consequences? Have you ever thought!!!
